Roles after first film will shape your career: Seerat Kapoor
Chennai, Jan 9 (IANS) Actor Seerat Kapoor made a splash with her debut in 2014 with Telugu romantic-comedy “Run Raja Run”. Having only done two films since then, she believes roles that one chooses after the first film will shape his or her career.
“I always look for better roles than the previous ones. Post ‘Run Raja Run’, I chose to work only in two projects because I didn’t get anything better than what I had already done. After your first break, the kind of roles you do in your second, third and subsequent films will chalk out your career,” Seerat told IANS.
With no film to her credit in 2016, she believes she hasn’t lost much.
“I used the time to mentally prepare myself for the journey ahead. As an actor, it’s important to keep reinventing and since I used the time effectively, I don’t think I lost anything,” she said.
Having impressed audiences and critics alike with “Tiger” and “Columbus”, she is excited about her fourth Telugu horror comedy “Raju Gari Gadhi 2”.
“It’s an exciting project. Director Ohmkar told me that he wrote this character specifically for me as he could identify my potential. It’s a captivating role where I can use my caliber to the fullest,” she said.
The project also stars actor Akkineni Nagarjuna in a pivotal role.
Sharing her excitement about Nagarjuna being a part of the project, she said: “It’s like the perfect icing on the cake. I can’t wait to start working with him.”
Having already completed shooting the first schedule of the film, she says the sequel to “Raju Gari Gadhi” has already set high expectations and will live up to it.
