‘Rollback Your Decision, If Not Your End Is Near’ – Poojary Warns PM

Mangaluru: Just 48 hours after senior congress Janardhan Poojary had held a press meet urging for the resignation of State Primary Education Minister Tanveer Sait, our beloved Jananana was back in the Press Club building again, and this time lashing at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his denomination scheme. Addressing the media persons Poojary said, “Like I said earlier, I fully support PM Narendra Modi’s decision of demonetizing Rs 500 and Rs. 1000 from the entire system, but it was not done in a proper way, it was done in a hurry and it lacks farsightedness. And we can see the outcome of it. Common people are feeling the brunt of it. Even students, farmers, poor people, labourers and others are facing a lot of inconveniences in getting their own money. While the rich with black money have been hit hard by this scheme, simultaneously even the common hard working people have been very badly affected by this crisis”.

Poojary further said, “PM Modi should have read the Income Tax Act book before he made the decision on demonetizing the Rs500/1000 currency notes to curb out black money. But it clearly states in Section 26B of Income Tax Act that anyone found guilty of tax fraud or black money will be severely punished with a jail term. If there is such law why PM Modi had to take this law into his own hands. People are suffering here due to this scheme, they have to wait in long queues at the banks for their money transactions, where their precious time is lost. Other day, I saw Modi shedding tears while addressing the nation. Was he shedding tears having concern towards rich people like Ambani’s, Tata’s, Birla’s and other crorepatis? Or was he shedding his tears with concern towards the poor and common citizens of India? PM Modi should answer these queries to the people of this nation. “

“By introducing this currency demonetizing scheme,it seems like we have an emergency rule imposed by PM and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely. With this kind of currency crisis, we are not sure how long this Union government will last. Presently lots of discussions have been going on between opposition parties and BJP pertaining to PM’s recent decision on currency demonetization. In spite of that, PM still doesn’t have the common sense. I had praised Modi when he launched the surgical attacks and complimented the BJP government. PM should realise that it was BJP supporters and members who voted him into power, but now Modi is literally killing his BJP party. The BJP members are reluctant in supporting Modi on his present stand on this issue”, added Poojary.

Janardhan Poojary further said, “When you travel abroad, you talk lots of good things about India, and invite foreigners to explore India to make them feel the difference. But now when foreign tourists are here in India, they are facing lots of problems in encashing their currency, which means loss of tourist business for traders. Shop owners, traders, fishermen/women, vegetable vendors, and many others have lost huge income due to this currency demonetization of Rs 500/1000. So I urge our PM Narendra Modi to rollback his decision for the sake of the Indian people. And if he doesn’t, the end is near for his term and his government”.

To a query posed at Poojary by a journo saying that PM Modi has assured that life will be normal within 50 days, where people will not have to worry about the shortage of currency, for which Poojary replied, “99% of the Indians will be dead by that time?”. Also when yet another reporter asked, what if Minister Gundu Rao makes his decision to sack him out of the Congress Party”, for which Poojary in a rough voice said, “Let him terminate me out of the party. I am ready for it and also ready to take him for a task. I don’t rely for my income on this party position that I have. I am self-sufficient, and will fight for the betterment of Congress party”.

While this demonitisation has caused hardship to the poor who don’t have bank accounts or debit/credit cards, it caused mental anguish and sleepless nights for the rich hoarding black money. While poor won’t lose anything out of this plan, rich and corrupt have plenty to lose besides physical and mental health. These hoarders could have easily declared their ill-gotten health, paid taxes and penalty and converted their white into black and slept peacefully and remained in good health. Congress has not done anything tackling the black money while they were in power and when someone as daring as Modi puts… Read more »

Let us all appreciate for what our PM has done to curb the black money. Janana is gone out of his sight and does not even realise how much of guts it takes to get on to this decision. I am not a supporter of any party but would like to highlight that I support good ideas and measures taken by any govt in power. Over the last few decades, congress has been in power, and none of us has any memory of anything good they have done to the country. Always during the congress, our country went down the… Read more »
