Bengaluru: Roshmitha Harimurthy from the city overcame a stiff competition from 12 other other contestants to be crowned at the Femina Miss India Bengaluru 2016 pageant.

The contest was held in La Shangrila Hotel on Thursday, Dec 24. Roshmitha was adorned with the crown by well-known film star of southern movies, Ragini Dwivedi.

The first runner-up was Elizabeth Thadikaran while the second was Sanjana G L. The panel of juries consisted of TV personality Nirup Bhandari, model-turned-actor Tilak Shekhar, Miss Karnataka 2009 Parvathy Nair, Telugu star Shavni Shrivastava and Ragini Dwivedi who was a one-time Miss India contestant herself.
The three winner have qualified to take part direct in the final round of the ‘fbb Femina Miss India’ pageant to be soon held in Mumbai. On Friday, the trio visited the Big Bazar store in Lido Mall and showcased the Fashion at Big Bazar (fbb) clothings at a catwalk.
Roshmitha is sister of former Femina Miss India contestant Rakshita Harimurthy. Roshimitha is studying at Mount Carmel College in Bengalur, while also being a full-time model working with Prasad Bidapa Model Management.
