Rowdy-sheeter Attacks Flight Attendant for Rejecting Wedding Proposal, arrested
Bengaluru (BM): The 30-year-old rowdy sheeter who had attacked a flight attendant in a cab after she rejected his wedding proposal has been arrested in a joint operation by the North division police in Bengaluru.
The accused identified as Ajay Kumar alias Jackie, a resident of Jalahalli.
“Ajay was arrested around 5 am at Mutyalanagar on Friday. A rowdy-sheet has also been opened against him for attacking the 27-year-old woman inside the cab near the Hebbal flyover and also as he is a habitual offender”, said an officer on part of investigations.
Following the attack, the Kodigehalli police had registered a case against him. The victim reportedly knew him through her elder sister. He then harassed her to marry him. Unable to bear the harassment, the victim had reported the matter to the Jalahalli police.
The accused who was a habitual offender had a few cases against him and the police had opened a rowdy sheet for harassing the victim too. Suspecting that her complaint against him made the police open the rowdy sheet against him, he had attacked her on May 12th while she was returning home in a cab.
The accused had warned her to withdraw the complaint when she refused, he is alleged to have attacked her with a knife.
