Mysuru: The City of Palaces will witness a rare, special event in two months’ time.
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar, the scion of the former ruling dynasty of the then-Mysore kingdom, will wed Trishika Kumari Singh, daughter of Harshavardhan Singh, the Yuvaraja of Dungarpur, Rajasthan.
News was around that the marriage would take place this year. Now the royal household has announced that the formal ceremony will be held in the kalyana mantapa of the Amba Vilas palace on June 27. A formal ‘invitation’ ritual was held earlier this week.
A special puja was held in honour of the family deity Shri Chamundeshwari. An invitation was prepared according to religious mentors of the royal dynasty.
Preliminary celebrations are scheduled to begin on June 22, culminating in the grand wedding ceremony on June 27.
