Udupi: BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa demanded that the loan waiver of Rs 50,000 was not sufficient and should be increased to Rs 1 lakh. The government announced the loan waiver scheme following pressure from the BJP, he said while speaking at the district BJP office here on Friday, June 23.

After Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister, he had increased the annual funds released to the State. However, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s government is not spending the money properly. It is not even distributing crop loss relief to the farmers who have suffered due to the drought or floods. The State government is neither spending its own money nor is it asking the union government for assistance. That is because the government is not working at all.

The state government’s Anna Bhagya Scheme is a Union Government initiative for which the CM is taking credit Yeddyurappa said that he has directed his party workers to visit the Ration shops in the State and erect Photos of PM Narendra Modi and the MPs and to explain the public that the lion’s share of the programme is funded by the Central Government. Accusing the Congress Government of Indulging in rampant corruption.

Yeddyurappa welcomed the NDA’s move for the selection of Kovind as BJP presidential nominee. He lauded Kovind’s contribution for the welfare of the Dalits and backward classes in the country.

Shobha Karandlaje MP Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Capt. Ganesh Karnik MLC, Sunil Kumar MLA Karkala, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde president District BJP, State BJP leader Kumar Bangarappa, Uday Kumar Shetty, Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Shyamala Kundar, Yashpal Suvarna, Dinakar Babu ZP president, Raghupathi Bhat, Lalaji R Mendon former MLA’s, Jayaprakash Hegde Ex-MP and others were present.

Earlier Yeddyurappa visited the Dalit colony of Manigudde, Nakre in Karkala Taluk. He had Uppittu-Avalakki, Kesaribath and Tea at the Dalit Shoba’s house. The food was prepared by Shobha at her house. There after BSY participated in the workers meet at Karkala and Udupi and called on all the party workers to prepare for the upcoming elections.

‘Mannina Maga’ Yeddy should boot the remaining 50 K to make it 1L. Bring out what you have looted while you were the CM !

The CM had made it clear from the beginning that if the center is ready to cooperate with the 50%, the state will offer the remaining 50% in waiving the loan. He kept his word but the center will not budge unless it is elections time. Shame !
