RSS does not accept secularism – Pinarayi during Communal Harmony Rally Begins

Mangaluru: The Karavali Communal Harmony Rally organised by the CPI(M) flagged off from Ambedkar Circle here on February 25.

Sunil Kumar Bajal welcomed the gathering. Former MLA and State Secretary of CPI (M) comrade J Balakrishna Shetty presided over the programme.

Addressing the gathering CM Pinarayi said, “The RSS does not follow the Indian culture, in 1925 during the freedom struggle RSS did not take any part. RSS did not contribute to the nation building. During the struggle for freedom, the slogan was to send the British out of the country. RSS does not wish the people of this country to live in unity. Their agenda is to create communal disharmony. Gandhi’s assassination is an example. RSS used Godse as their weapon to kill Gandhiji and when Gandhiji was killed the RSS volunteers distributed sweets and celebrated. RSS has never worked to unite the people of our country, they are trying to divide the people creating communal violence”.

Pinrayi further said, “The RSS does not accept secularism. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh initially did not recognise the Tricolour as the National Flag of India. The RSS mouthpiece “Organiser,” in its issue dated 17 July 1947 demanded, in an editorial titled “National Flag” that the Bhagwa Dhwaj (Saffron Flag) be adopted as the National Flag of India. Using India is wrong, we have to call our country as Hindustan. After the Tricolour was adopted as the National Flag of India by the Constituent Assembly of India on 22 July 1947, the RSS mouthpiece Organiser viciously attacked the Tricolour and denigrated it being chosen as the National Flag of India. “

Pinarayi also said, “RSS is not ready to accept anyone’s advice. In Kerala 205 communists were killed by RSS men for taking a strong stand against communalism. He alleged that Intellectuals M M Kalaburagi, Govind Pansare and Narendra Dabholkar were killed just because of the intolerance of the Sangh Parivar. Meanwhile, writer K S Bhagawan, Jnanpith awardee Girish Karnad, intellectual U R Ananthamurthy were also targeted by the RSS for taking a stand against communalism. Actors Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, actress Nandita Das, Jnanpith awardee M T Vasudevan Nair and director Kamal were asked to go to Pakistan for expressing their views. RSS is not able to tolerate those who oppose their ideology. They don’t tolerate talented people from expressing their views. Vinayak Baliga was killed when he was on his way to the temple by the NaMo Brigade chief.  BJP and its Sangh Parivar has the habit of killing their own people,” he alleged.

While concluding Pinarayi said, “Four months ago when Sriram Reddy invited me to attend the Rally in Mangaluru, I accepted his invitation. But the Sangh Parivar challenged that they will not allow me to enter Mangaluru. I have reached here and attended the programme which went on well without any problems. When I came from Kerala the Karnataka state chief minister took all the measures to provide safety. I have the experience of walking in the middle of sickles, knives and sticks during my college days. Pinarayi Vijayan did not come directly from heaven becoming the chief minister. When I was in the college, the RSS attempted to kill me, I have faced their knives and machetes and even now I have the courage to move around as an ordinary person. Today I am the chief minister of Kerala and I have to accept the safety measures of other states. Today’s programme went on well because of the safety measures taken by the district administration, the people of the district and the media. I thank them wholeheartedly for conducting this beautiful programme”.

“RSS doesn’t follow Indian culture. RSS doesn’t accept secularism” says an unknown individual in white shirt.

I think it’s a slip of tongue and he used ‘RSS’ instead of another group. Because, we all know how those groups don’t follow Indian culture and they don’t accept secularism. In fact, those societies/countries will punish you with death if you try to promote secularism in those societies.

Bunch of thoughts’ written by RSS Guruji’s have never included word ‘secularism’. Before independence to the nation they sided with British and supported ‘divide and rule’ policy. After the nation got independence Father of nation Mahatama Gandhi was shot dead for freedom struggle uniting as one. Now the PM Modi’s full majority government is in power any one who speaks about government is tagged as ‘anti-national’. The mass media which reports it becomes ‘pesstitute’. Freedom of speech is only left by force and violence which can be seen from national capital’s Ramjas college to Mangalore in south India. Development is only… Read more »

RSS followed a policy of opposing Muslims, Christians and Communists in India. They are trained in spreading false propaganda against their opponents. They also have experience in creating communal riots. In 1947, they opposed the Tricolor saying that it has no Indian element in it. They wanted the nation to be called Hindustan. Now they want to dictate people of India on their food habits. They want to impose ‘Chaturvarnya’ again……
