RSS Invites Christians for Ganeshotsava Celebrations
Mangaluru: The members of the RSS visited the Infant Jesus Shrine on September 3, to invite Priests of the Infant Jesus Shrine at Bikkarnakatta and the Christian brethren to attend the Ganesh Chathurti, which will be held in Sanghaniketan, Mannagudda on Septmebr 5.
Prior to the programme The members of RSS led by the Mangaluru Mahanagar Sangha Sanchalak Dr Satish Rao lit Agarbattis to Mother Mary. Later Dr Satish Rao handed over fruits and flowers in a Brass tray to the director of Infant Jesus Shrine Fr Elias D’Souza and handed over the invitation for Ganesh Chathurti.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Satish Rao said, “We need peace and harmony in the country and the RSS is organizing programmes to bring brotherhood, unity and peace in the society. Such programmes will create peace in the society and will help in the development of the country. India has unity in diversity and we all are one. We should work hand in hand for the development of the country to create peace, harmony, brotherhood and unity”.
Dr Satish also said that on September 5, we are celebrating Ganeshotsava, we are here to invite all our Christian brothers and sisters to take part in the celebrations to strengthen our unity, harmony and brotherhood.
The director of the ‘Dhyanavana’, Retreat House of Mysuru Fr Dominic, recalling the prophecy of Winston Churchill on Indian independence, said, “Whatever Winston Churchill predicted has proved wrong. After 70, years of Indepence, we are living in unity and brotherhood. India has unity in diversity, we Indians live in peace and unity forgetting caste, creed and religion. We are all children of India (Bharat Matha), and we all are brothers and sisters”.
Recalling the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on development Fr Dominic said, “Diversity is the Mantra for development and the development is based on unity, harmony and peace”. Fr Dominic also said that India is full of diversities with various communities, languages, caste and sectors living together peacefully. If we want to see our country develop we need to live in unity. Let us all live in peace, harmony and unity respecting one another like our own brothers and sisters”.
Fr Dominic appreciated the RSS for inviting the Christian brethren to take part in the Ganeshotsava celebrations. He also extended his invitation to the RSS to attend the feast of Nativity.
Deputy director of Infant Jesus shrine, Fr Prakash D’Cunha welcomed the gathering. RSS member Franklin Monteiro compered the programme. RSS members Sathish Prabhu, Bharath, Padmanabh and others were also present.
