RSS Route March Marks Vijayadashami in City
Mangaluru: To mark the Vijayadashami, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh organized a route march in the city here on November 6.
The route march was flagged off from the Central Maidan. Around 1400 RSS volunteers participated in the route march.
Speaking to mangalorean.com Dakshina Prant Saha Snachalak of RSS, Dr Vaman Shenoy, said, “To mark the Vijayadashami we are holding the route march every year. RSS workers from 10 cities have participated in the route march. Until last year we were wearing shorts for the route march on Vijayadashami. This year we have started to wear trousers for the route march, this is our first route march in this new attire. Around 1400 RSS volunteers marched to mark the Vijayadashami because on this day, the RSS organization was formed”.
He further said that we need to fight against all the evils in the society. In our country, there are good people and many of them have sacrificed their lives for the country.
The route march started from the Central Maidan via Nellikai Road – Car Street – Sharavu Temple – Clock tower – Central Maidan.
Prant Saha Snachalak Guru Prasad, Dr Satish Rao, Dr P V Shenoy, Sunil Achar, Franklin Monteiro, Randeep Kanchan among other were present.
