Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar celebrates Vespers Day
Beltangady: Vespers day (Bespu) was celebrated on Tuesday, 4nd December 2018 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar a day prior to the annual feast of the Church.
The faithful gathered in the town, near the Grotto of Our Lady of Velankani (in front of Nuthan Cloth Centre) at 6:00 pm. Fr Roman Pinto – Parish Priest, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Thirthahalli Shivamogga, proclaimed the word of God and preached in Kannada and thereafter a procession was taken through the streets of Madanthyar. The procession was accompanied by musical band till the church.
The entire liturgical service (Vespers) was conducted by Fr Roman Pinto, meanwhile, the members of the church choir beautifully sang the psalms. All the parishioners participated in this spiritual event and prepared themselves spiritually for the annual feast of the church which will be celebrated on 5th December 2018.
