Sahyadri College to Clean Panambur Beach on World Environmental Day
Sahyadri College to take Part in Panambur Beach Cleanup on World Environmental Day, with this year WED Theme as “Over Come Against Plastic Pollution”
Mangaluru: The Ministry of Environment, Forest, Ecology & Climate Change has planned to undertake cleaning of beaches and river stretches in the country. World Environment Day Programme will be held from 01.06.2018 to 05.06.2018 at Panambur Beach. In this regard, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district is organizing the event in association with the Ministry of Environment, Forest, Ecology & Climate change, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, District Administration, Dakshina Kannada, Fisheries College and Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru.
World Environment Day is celebrated all over India on a tagline of “Overcome against plastic pollution”. World Environment Day Programme from 01.06.2018 to 05.06.2018 in Panambur Beach Mangaluru and Malpe Beach Udupi is aimed to clean the plastic waste and create awareness against the use of plastic affecting the environment. Different Government departments, eco clubs, self-help groups, associations and schools, college students and the local community will participate. A general call has been taken to invite different environmental protection activists, self-help groups, schools and college students to make the event of 05 days World Environment Day a fruitful one.
