Saint Anthony’s Ashram Annual Feast – Eighth Day of Novena

Mangaluru : Saint Anthony’s Feast – eighth day of novena was held at St Anthony’s Ashram Chapel, Jeppu on June 07, 2019. Fr Pramod Crasta the Assistant Parish Priest of St Francis Xavier Church Bejai offered the Holy Mass for the intention of senior citizens.

Father Crasta in his homily said that love is the foundation of our faith. Jesus became a human being out of love for humanity. He died on the cross for the people. Hence the essence of Christianity is Love. The love preached by Jesus has two dimensions i.e. love of God and love of neighbor. God is unseen but people are seen. So the love preached by Jesus has to be shown in loving people. He called on the devotees to respect towards the elderly. It is because of their sacrifice that we are today what we are. Respecting the elderly is nothing but loving God who dwells in them.

Fr Onil D’Souza the Director of the Ashram conducted the Chaplet and the Rosary. Fr Thrishan D’Souza the Asst Director conducted the novena. Hundreds of people participated in the devotion.

Saint Anthony’s Ashram Annual Feast- Ninth Day of Novena

The ninth day Noveena in honour of St. Anthony was celebrated at St. Anthony’s Ashram, Jeppu on June 08, 2019. Rev. Fr. Anil Roshan Lobo, former Parish Priest of Panja, offered the mass for the Missionaries working all over the world.

Fr. Anil in his homily exhorted the faithful to be missionaries in their own field of work and at home or wherever they are. It was the ardent fervour of our dear patron saint Anthony himself to be a missionary to Morocco for which he even joined the Franciscan Order. He also asked the faithful to pray for the Missionaries working in the most difficult of places in the world.

Fathers Trishan and Roshan, Assistant Directors concelebrated and Fr. Trishan conducted the rosary and Novena.
