Saint Anthony’s Ashram Jeppu-St Anthony’s Annual Feast-Third day of novena
Mangaluru : Saint Anthony’s Feast – third day of the novena was held at St Anthony’s Ashram Chapel, Jeppu on June 02, 2019. Fr Arun Lobo the Director of Counseling Centre of the Diocese offered the Holy Mass. On this Sunday the Catholics all over the world celebrate the Ascension of Lord Jesus into heaven.
In his homily Fr Arun said that the feast of ascension is – Jesus ascended into heaven forty days after He rose from death. Resurrected Jesus and His ascension into heaven is a hope to all mortal humans that life doesn’t end with death but death becomes a passage to heaven. On the third day of the novena the Holy Mass was offered for the intention of children.He called on the children to take Jesus as their model and strive to attain heaven by living a life that is pleasing to God and helpful to human beings in the society.
Fr Onil D’Souza the Director of the Ashram conducted the novena. Fr Roshan D’Souza the Asst Director recited the chaplet and the rosary. Fr Thrishan D’Souza was present on the occasion. Hundreds of devotees participated in the devotion.
