Saint Anthony’s Ashram- Saint Anthony’s Annual Feast-4th & 5th Day of Novena
Mangaluru : Saint Anthony’s Feast – fourth day novena was held at St Anthony’s Ashram Chapel, Jeppu on June 03, 2019. Fr Rohan Dias the Asst Parish Priest of St Sebastian Church Bendur offered the Holy Mass and prayed on day’s theme for all the priests working in the Diocese of Mangaluru.
In his homily Fr Dias said that the full pot doesn’t make noise. Only the half full pot does it. If in case we are half full then it is better to fill ourselves with the Grace of God. When we are filled with the Grace of God He takes control of us and we remain with Him. This is required very much in the life of those who have dedicated themselves to the service of God.
Fr Thrishan D’Souza the Asst Director of the Ashram recited the chaplet, rosary and conducted the novena. Fr Roshan D’Souza and hundreds of devotees participated in the devotion.
Saint Anthony’s Annual Feast-Fifth Day of Novena :
Saint Anthony’s Feast – Fifth day novena was held at St Anthony’s Ashram Chapel, Jeppu on June 04, 2019. Fr Roshan D’Souza, the Assistant Director of St Anthony’s Asrham, Jeppu offered the mass for the intention of Religious. The day being the first Tuesday of the month half a day retreat was held at the Ashram.
Fr Onil D’Souza the Director of the Ashram preached a homily on, ‘Do not store up treasures for yourself in earth —-but—- in heaven’ Mt 6: 19-21. The time, talents and resources God has given are to be used to earn virtues which help us to attain heaven. A life of service, love, forgiveness, charity help us to enter into heaven. Jesus invites us to live such kind of life if we wish to be with God in eternity, he said. Fr Onil also conducted the Chaplet, Rosary for the special intention of onset of timely monsoons and adoration to the Blessed Sacrament and invoked blessings on the people.
Fr Thrishan D’Souza the Assistant Director of the Ashram conducted the novena. Brother Ronald D’Souza and Mrs Shanthi Pinto did the Praise and Worship. A large number of people participated in the devotion.
