Salute to Honesty! Reward Awaits Unidentified Auto Driver who Returned Valuables
Mangaluru: Teruvatt Abdulla Hussainar, hailing from Kasaragod but currently living in Pandeshwar in the city, had arrived from Dubai some days ago.
On Friday evening, he took up an autorickshaw from Pandeshwar to visit the Dar-ul-Aiman madrassa in Jeppinamogaru. While alighting there, he had left behind a bag containing his passport, cash and valuable documents.
When he returned home, he realized that he had mislaid the bag. He needed his passport to travel back to Dubai on March 13.
To his good fortune, the driver of the autorickshaw arrived at the madrassa next morning and handed over the bag intact to the staff there asking for its safe return to the owner. They missed asking for his name and contact number.
They informed Abulla that his bag had been returned safely by the rickshaw driver. He arrived there at once and collected the bag. He also gave a reward to be given to the driver in appreciation of his honesty.
Now the madrassa staff have taken the responsibility of identifying the driver so that the reward could be passed on to him.
The driver has been asked to contact the madrassa on +91 99803 13018 for further details.
