Beltangady: Activist Ranjan Rao Yerdoor, who had been issued a warrant by a court here for non-appearance surrendered before it on Mar 14. He was granted bail by the court.
Dr D Veerendra Heggade and Ratnavarma Bunnu had filed a defamation case against him in connection with the Samaj Mandir construction.
Ranjan Rao approached the state high court for a stay order against the case and in anticipation of it he had not appeared before the Beltangady court, which subsequently issued a warrant against him.
