Buenos Aires, June 1 (IANS) San Lorenzo defeated Quilmes 2-1 to retain their lead in the Argentina Primera Division football league.
With the win, San Lorenzo have 31 points from 14 matches.
Meanwhile, River Plate defeated Rosario Central 2-0 to occupy the second spot on Sunday with 28 points from 13 matches. Third-placed Boca Juniors also have 28 points from 14 games, but are behind River Plate on goal difference, reports Efe.
Rosario’s striker Marco Ruben is the top scorer of the league with 10 goals.
