Santhosh-led BJP team packs off to Andamans
Bengaluru: While BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa and his camp is upbeat over the positive exit poll predictions, a faction led by the party’s national joint general secretary (organisation) B L Santhosh packed off to Andamans with 30 office-bearers to discuss the way forward.
Santhosh, who belongs to the RSS, and Yeddyurappa are said to be locked in a turf war within the party.
According to sources, Santhosh went to Andamans with party office-bearers, including C T Ravi, Nalin Kumar Kateel and Bhanuprakash.
It is said that Santhosh will discuss organisational changes that need to be effected once Yeddyurappa is replaced as the state party president.
Also, Santhosh may talk about the political situation in Karnataka and the possibility of the BJP installing its government.
It is speculated that Yeddyurappa will press for one of his loyals to replace him as state party president, whenever that happens.
