Jeddah: Sports and games are very important for the development of one’s physical and mental health condition along with that, it helps the people of different traditions and cultures to get together with the spirit of sportsmanship. On this note India Fraternity Forum Karnataka Chapter Jeddah, conducted National level Kabaddi tournament on 15th May 2015 at the ShabbabiyahGround, as part of the “Fraternity Fest 2015”.
The tournament was inaugurated by E Abubakkar Saheb (chairman, Rehab India Foundation). Many National level teams arrived from Dammam, Riyadh,Jubail, Jeddah and also from other parts of Saudi Arabia, league matches were conducted in 2 groups, after tough competitions, Social Forum Jeddah,Navodaya Kukkajje Dammam, Bhatkal Committee (A) and Bhatkal Committee (B) were the teams which qualified for the Semifinals. In the First Semifinal, Social Forum Jeddah and Bhatkal Committee (A) fought vigorously but BhatkalCommittee (A) entered the finals. And in the 2nd semifinals between NavayugaKukkajje Dammam and Bhatkal Committee (B), Navayuga Kukkajje Dammammade its way to the finals. In grand finale Bhatkal Committee (A) was againstNavayuga Kukkajje Dammam it was a very exciting final match, both the teams were neck to neck, but at the end Bhatkal Committee (A) was able to beatNavayuga Kukkajje Dammam and turned out to be the Winners to lift the trophy.
In the inauguration ceremony Abdul Majeed Vitla (President, IFF Jeddah) presided over the function, Sayyed Khaj Vikaruddin, Jeddah), K Mohammed Ali (General Secretary IFF western region council), Ishan Sarfaraz (Jeddah), NasirKhan, Ishak Hyderabad, Ashraf Morayur (Social Forum Central committee,Jeddah), Mohammed Sharief (President, Hidayah Foundation, Jeddah), AnsarSaheb (Editor, Urdu news), Abdul Ghani (Member, IFF central committee),Mohammed Habeeb, Qamar Sadah (General Secretary Bhatkal Committee,Jeddah), Ali Koya (PRO, IFF Central Committee, Jeddah), Shareef Sahab(President, IFF Tamilnadu, Jeddah), P T Mohammed Shareef (General Secretary Social forum, Jeddah) and Shamshuddin (General Secretory, IFFKerala chapter, Jeddah), were the dignitaries on the dais.
During the concluding ceremony Vishwanath (Jeddah), MohammedRafeeq (Social Worker), Haneef Haris (Vice President, Social ForumKarnataka, Jeddah), Nisar Volavoor, Mohammed Gurupura, Abdul Majeed Vitla(president, IFF Karnataka Jeddah), Faizan, Samath, Ubaid, ShamshuddinKondatti (General Secretory, IFF Kerala chapter Jeddah) and several other dignitaries were present.
Trophies were handed over to the winners and the runner up teams along with that, Man of the series, Best Rider and Man of the Match for the finals were also presented, Hameed Ali and Siddique were the match referees, MuzammilKalladka and Khaizar Kannangar were the line umpires. Arif Bajpe, FirozKalladka and Ismail Kalladka were in charge for the tournament, Haneef K C road and Sajid Valavoor hosted the tournament together, Irfan MajoorWelcomed the gathering, Haneef K C road delivered the vote of thanks.
