SCDCC Bank profit Rs 21.84 Crore, First to Distribute 72,837 RuPay cards
Mangaluru: The South Canara District Central Co-operative (SCDCC) Bank has completed 103 successful years. SCDCC Bank is a model bank in the entire country. This year the bank has made Rs 21.84 crore profit. Due to the note ban, people faced difficulties in transactions for five months but the SCDCC Bank has created history by making a profit of Rs 21.84 Crore”, said the President of SCDCC Bank Dr M N Rajendra Kumar in a press meet held at the SCDCC Bank premises here on May 29.
Addressing the media persons Rajendra Kumar said, “Competition exists between all banks for deposits, but because of the peoples’ belief in the SCDCC Bank we have collected a deposit of Rs 3201.64 crore. From the past 22 years, the loan repayment is 100 % and we have opened our 102nd branch in Alangar. In the DK district, 34 co-operative societies have recovered 100 % loan repayment. In Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts we have distributed 72,837 RuPay cards and Dakshina Kannada is the only district to have distributed RuPay cards to the farmers in large numbers. By the end of June 92,000 RuPay cards will be distributed to the farmers. Those who have RuPay cards can withdraw money from the ATMs having National Financial Switch (NFS) Network.”
Dr Rajendra also said, “Our plans are to install 100 ATMs in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. To make the banking system easier we will introduce Tab banking to our customers. Those having Mobiles can operate their account from anywhere. Customers can also transfer the money through Mobile banking. Through NPCI Inter Bank Mobile Payment system will be introduced so that the customers can transfer their amount to another account.
Directors Vinay Kumar Surinje, T G Rajaram Bhat, Bhaskar S Kotian, B Raghuram Shetty, M Vadiraj Shetty, K S Devaraj, Sadashiv Ullal, S Raju Poojary, Sashikumar Rai, Rajesh Rao, S B Jayaram Rai, Dr Ikalabava Deviprasad Shetty and others were also present.
