Dr Rajendra Prasad challenged those spreading rumours to release proof of any wrong doings, “I am ready for any investigation. But without any evidence or proof, telecasting false news is not right. A particular media is purposely telecasting false news against SCDCC bank”, said, Dr Rajendra Kumar.

Dr Rajendra further said, “SCDCC bank has 101 branches in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada and it is operating well. Under the order of Reserve Bank of India to demonetize the notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations, from November 10 to 14, customers have deposited a total of Rs 386.65 crore in the bank. Under the Jandhan scheme, 1062 people have opened their accounts. From November 8 to 14, only 42 customers have operated their accounts and deposited Rs 3.72 lakh in the bank. SCDCC bank has followed all rules by the RBI and has stopped exchanging currency notes or collecting deposits”.

Dr Kumar also stressed that after the demonetization of notes we have given the necessary information of the deposit money collected, to the RBI/NABARD/ED.

He further said, “We have been accused of collecting Rs 300 crore illegal deposits, opening 120 ZERO accounts and in three days depositing Rs 600 crore. SCDCC bank has done deals with politicians and they have deposited black money in crores in the bank. SCDCC bank is a Swiss bank, such news has been telecasted by a TV channel, which is far from the truth. Such rumours have spoiled the image of SCDCC and have greatly affected its business. We will file a defamation case against the TV channel in this regard”.

The customers of the bank should not be confused from this false propaganda. All dealings in SCDCC bank are transparent and the allegations are false, said Dr Rajendra Kumar.

All the board of directors and members of the SCDCC committee were present.
