SDM Dr Mamata complains of fake Facebook account

Udupi: Dr Mamata K V professor of Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda Hospital Kuthpadi Udyavar has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that someone has created a fake Facebook account using her Photograph.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged with the Udupi Town Police Station. In the Complaint, Dr Mamata has stated that she came to know about the fake Facebook account when she had logged on to her actual account and received messages from her friends about the fake account.  More than 400 of the old students and patients’ have already been added to the fake account and are sharing information.

The Town police who have received relevant information of the fake account page, have forwarded the complaint to the IT and Cyber crime section for investigation.
