SDPI Condemns Assault on ASI Aithappa
Mangaluru: “SDPI condemns the assault on Urwa Police Assistant Sub Inspector Aithappa on duty at Ladyhill”, said the President of District SDPI Committee Haneef Kodaje in a press release on April 5.
Haneef further said, “ASI Aithappa was on duty at Ladyhill circle on April 5. At around 3:30 pm, miscreants came on a motorbike, assaulted him with iron rods and fled from the spot. SDPI condemns the assault on ASI Aithappa and demands for the immediate arrest of the culprits”.
Haneef also said, “After the Lathi charge, some miscreants are trying to divert the entire issue and taking advantage of the situation. The police department should be alert and arrest those who have assaulted ASI Aithappa. The police should check the CCTV footage to find out the culprits behind the assault on the police officer”.
