SDPI Delegation Meets Karnataka Ex-chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy
Dubai: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) delegates felicitated Ex-Chief Minister of Karnataka H D Kumaraswamy, Zafarullah Khan, B A Farooq, JDS National Leaders in Dubai on Sunday 5th February 2017. Issues related mainly to NRIs were discussed and the former CM was insisted on putting political pressure on the government to allocate sufficient funds for minorities especially Muslims in the upcoming annual budget.
Also to make consensus among all political parties for the smooth and secure implementation of the e-ballot voting system, and to make necessary amendments in the law to enable NRIs to cast postal and e-ballots during polls in India.
Recently the Karnataka govt introduced the NRK CARD through which more benefits should be added to the common people. The NRI Cell shall handle exclusively the complaints of NRI’s and their family members.
The Delegate members requested Kumaraswamy to highlight the plight of Gulf Kannadigas and to include cases like, petition inquiry related to Visa cheating, fraudulent manpower recruitment by agencies and trafficking of women.
SDPI delegation comprised of Naseer Nandawara, Nasir KK, Ashir Chocabettu, Javed Surathkal, Riyaz Sajipa and Mohamed Shafi Hubli.
Well-known Businessman, Althaf Daimond was also present during the meeting.
