SDPI to Hold National Campaign ‘Resist Lynching India’
Mangaluru: The Social Democratic Party of India will conduct a National campaign “Resist Lynching India” from August 1 to August 25 to create awareness among the people to resist the anarchy situation in the Country”, said the National General Secretary Ilyas Mohammed Thumbay in a press meet held at the SDPI office here on July 31.
Addressing the mediapersons Ilyas Mohammed said, “In the country, in the name of Gau Rakshaks communal goons are involved in violence and are targeting Muslims. In the name of Gau Rakshaks, hundreds of Muslims and Dalit families are suffering. Already 39 innocent people have lost their lives by the lynching of RSS and BJP backed Gau Rakshaks. Many a time their targets were Muslims who were never involved in beef trading.”
Ilyas Mohammed further said, “SDPI will go to every nook and corner of this country for uniting the people to resist lynching India by conducting seminars, rallies, human chains, public gatherings etc. Thirty-four massive public meetings, more than 250 corner meets, 10 seminars will be held in 25 days in various parts of Karnataka. In Dakshina Kannada 8 public meetings in all the 8 constituencies, more than 100 corner meets and 2 seminars will be held. “
Ilyas Mohammed also said, “The inauguration of the 25-day campaign will be held in Jaipur on August 1 and will conclude on August 25 with people gathering on the streets forming human chains and displaying banners, “Come Out of Home” with black ribbons tied on arms. “Come out of Home to resist the terrorists “Gau Rakshaks” and save our country”.
District President Haneef Khan Kodaje, Alfonso Franko and Athaulla A M were also present.
