Seal-Down Lifted in Car street, Bantwal
Mangaluru: After COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Kasaba Bantwal, the area was sealed down. Now since no positive cases have been detected in Car street, Bantwal from the past 28 days, on May 22, Deputy commissioner Sindhu Rupesh announced the lifting of the seal down in Car street area, Bantwal Town.
In the press statement, it is stated, “In view of the power delegated to the Chairperson, District Disaster Management Authority under National Disaster Management Act (NDMA) 2005 by G.O. No. RD 157 TNR 2020 and in the exercise of the powers conferred under section 26, 30 and 34 of NDMA 2005, Government, and under relevant paras of notification issued under the Epidemic Disease Act 1897 by the State and as per Revised Circular No. CHS / 392 / 2020 dated: 21-05-2020 and the containment and buffer boundaries submitted by the Incident Commander, the DC has declared the area (Specific areas of B – Kasaba Village, Bantwal Taluk as shown in the sketch) as an Active Containment Zone for patient no. P – 578 / 777 / 778 / 779, who are COVED – 19 positive patients.

No. of Shops / Offices = 15 (Fifteen) Shops – 12 / Offices – 3 )
Total Population = 388 (Three Hundred and Eighty Eight)
For effective implementation of COVID-19 virus control measures, Tahsildar and Taluk Magistrate, Bantwal is appointed as the Incident Commander who will be overall in-charge of Containment Zone. The Incident Commander will take necessary actions as specified in the containment zone notification referred above.
