Sealdown Lifted in Sajipanadu, Karaya and Ajjavar area
Mangaluru: After COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Sajipanadu, Karaya and Ajjavar area, the area was sealed down. Now since no positive cases have detected in these three areas from the past 28 days. On April 27, Deputy commissioner Sindhu Roopesh announced the lifting of the seal down in these areas.
Sajipanadu in Bantwal, Karaya in Beltangady and Ajjavar in Sullia were under sealdown after COVID-19 positive cases were detected.
From the past 28 days, all the primary and secondary contacts have completed their 28 days of quarantine, and no positive cases were reported in these three areas.
At present eight areas in Dakshina Kannada have been declared as containment zones. They are Sampya and Uppinangady in Puttur, Kasaba, Thumbay and Narikombu in Bantwal and Padil First Neuro Hospital, Kulshekar and Thokkottu in Mangaluru.
On April 28, the Mangalore City Corporation sanitized the containment areas in Shaktinagar after an 80-year-old woman, and her 45-year-old son was tested positive for COVID-19.
