Second Flight Chartered by KSCC brings Stranded Kannadigas from Sharjah to MIA

Mangaluru: The second flight Chartered by the KSCC brought the stranded Kannadigas from Sharjah to Mangalore on June 27.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) (Entity registered with Community Development Authority, UAE and Govt of Dubai, UAE) arranged the 2nd charter flight to repatriate stranded Kannadigas in UAE landed at the Mangalore International Airport at 06:00 am on Saturday, June 27.

The Air Arabia flight with 171 passengers took off from Sharjah international airport at around 1:00 am (UAE Time). The flight carried 18 pregnant women, nine children, three infant’s, eight senior citizens, 20 persons with medical emergencies, those who have lost jobs, stranded visit visa holders and those who had reported deaths in their families.

KSCC had set up a help desk to finalize the list of passengers and guide them throughout the process. All the legal procedures were carried out smoothly.

KSCC President Mr.Mohammed Ismail accorded a warm welcome to all the passengers.

Meanwhile, Rapid tests for Covid-19 was conducted before departure, and mandatory quarantine for all the passengers was arranged accordingly in 3 hotel’s in Mangaluru for a period of seven days.

KSCC official’s Ismail, Javed, Safwan and volunteers were present at the airport during the time of departure for passengers hospitability and support.
