Section 144 imposed in Mangalore Police Commissionerate
Mangaluru: Section 144 has been imposed in the Mangalore Police Commissionerate by the Police Commissioner on June 22.
On June 21, SDPI leader Ashraf Kalayi was hacked to death at Benjanpadav. After the murder the situation in Benjanpadav and surrounding areas is tense.
As a precautionary measure, the Deputy Commissioner has already imposed section 144 in Bantwal, Puttur, Beltangady and Sullia till June 27.
On June 22, the section has been extended to the Mangalore Police Commissionerate to avoid any untoward incidents.
