Mumbai, April 28 (IANS) After shedding 6.5 percent over nine past sessions, the sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened slightly higher on Tuesday and came immediately under some volatile trading.
The 30-share index opened higher at 27,215.61 points, as against the previous close at 27,176.99 points and almost immediately fell to 27,116.81 points.
It rose subsequently to 27,247.91 points and was trading at 27,200.73 points at 9.25 a.m., up 23.74 points, 0.09 percent.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-scrip Nifty was ruling at 8,218.05 points, also up 4.25 points, or 0.05 percent.
