Seventy-Two Persons Test Positive for Coronavirus in Udupi District

Udupi: Seventy-Two Coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Udupi district on July 14, taking the total number of positive cases to 1733.

All the 72 persons are shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.

Out of the 72 cases, seven of them had travelled to Bangalore, and two has travelled to Mangaluru. Fourteen persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and one person is suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). Forty-eight contracted the virus through local persons who had tested positive for the coronavirus.

The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 370-. So far, 1360 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and five persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
