Several Students Injured after Omni Car Overturns at Alevoor
Manipal: A Maruthi Omini car carrying 25 school children overturned in Alevoor under the Manipal Police Station limits on Monday, November 25 evening. Several Students escaped with minor injuries in the incident.
The Car driver Srikanth was carrying the students of Karvalu Higher Primary School and was taking a turn near Karantha Kalagrama in Alevoor when the vehicle suddenly overturned.
Locals rushed to the spot and helped to shift the injured students to nearby hospitals.
Overload and negligence of the driver was the main cause to the accident, said the locals.
Local Police visited the spot and are investigating.
