Shiroor Swamiji’s Rs 1 Crore Worth Gold Ornaments Safe – Police officials
Udupi: The district police officials on July 26 clarified that the gold ornaments worth of Rs 1 crore worn by Shiroor Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji before he was admitted to the hospital is safe with the Swamiji’s family members.
A rumour was spread in some sections of media that the gold ornaments worn by Shiroor Swamiji were missing. These types of rumours are far from the truth. When the Swamiji was admitted to the hospital, the hospital authorities had handed over the jewellery to the Swamiji’s family members.
Certain media houses had alleged that the gold ornaments of Shiroor Swamiji were stolen by his close aid Bullet Ganesh.
On Thursday Bullet Ganesh personally clarified to the media persons saying, “I have never stolen the gold ornaments of Swamiji and I am not an accused in this case. Some media houses have aired that the police had questioned in the Swamiji’s gold issue, but no one has questioned me till today. Some media houses are unnecessarily defaming me, I have decided to file a defamation case against them,” he said.
He also said “I have no connection with the Swamiji’s Gold ornaments nor did I have any financial contact or business partnership with the Swamiji. I am only a devotee of the Shiroor Math. The police should investigate the suspicious death case of Shiroor Swamiji,” he said.
The post-mortem report of the suspicious death of Shiroor Swamiji is expected in two or three days. The FSL report will come after 6 weeks. Once both the reports are available the investigation will speed up and the exact reason for the Swamiji’s death will be known.
