Shirva Church donates sixth house for poor
Udupi: To mark the centenary celebrations house for the poor, built by Our Lady of Health church Shirva was inaugurated on Tuesday, January 31.
Fr Stany Tauro parish priest of the church blessed the house. The house was inaugurated by Vincent Priscilla Machado the sponsor by cutting the ribbon and the new house key was handed over to the beneficiary Harrick Saritha D’Souza.
Speaking on the occasion Fr Stany Tauro said that during our church centenary celebrations we had planned to build houses for the poor people of the church. We have already donated five houses to the needy people and today the sixth house has been donated to Harrick Saritha D’Souza family.
I thank Vincent Priscilla Machado who has donated three houses for the needy people of our church. Providing homes to the poor is the greatest work. I congratulate all the members of the Church for taking up such a noble cause, he added.
Fr Canute Barboza, Fr Mahesh D’Souza assistant parish priests of the church, Wilson D’Souza vice president of PPC, Leena Machado secretary of PPC, Norbert Machado, Julian Rodrigues and others were present on the occasion.
