Shirva People hold Silent Protest March Demanding High-Level Probe in Fr Mahesh’s Death

Udupi: The people of Shirva held a silent protest to demand high-level agency probe into Fr Mahesh’s suicide case here on November 5.

The protesters took out a protest march from Our Lady of Health Church Shirva to the Shirva police station and submitted a memorandum to PSI Abdul Khader.

It is learnt that the district police have got a lead in the suicide case of Fr Mahesh. But no arrest has so far been made in this case. The suicide of Fr Mahesh in his chamber has created a lot of suspicion in the parishioners. Fr Mahesh worked relentlessly for the development of the Don Bosco English Medium School. There is no chance that he would take the extreme step of committing suicide because of depression.

Alleging that the priest had been compelled to take the extreme step, the agitators urged the authorities to make public the investigation report on the suicide. They demanded that a separate official agency take up the case for investigation.

A large number of shops and business establishments were closed to participate in the protest march.

One Daiji killed another Daiji & the Third Daiji is protecting the killer Daiji. If a Pen is Sold out to the money power of killer, people will loose trust in the the whole system of social justice.
