Shirva School Principal Fr Mahesh D’Souza (36) Commits Suicide

Udupi: In a shocking incident, Fr Mahesh D’Souza (36), principal of a renowned institution of Shirva allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself on Friday, October 11 night.

According to sources, Fr Mahesh hanged himself at his School Cabin.

Fr Mahesh was a resident of Moodubelle and was ordained as the first priest of Udupi Diocese on April 15, 2013.

Fr Mahesh D’Souza was born on March 30, 1983, as the second son among three sons of Frederick and Matilda D’Souza of Kinnigudde, Moodubelle, He joined the St. Joseph’s Seminary Jeppu, Mangalore in July 2003.

He had served as an assistant parish priest in Milagres Mount Rosary Church, Kallianpur. In 2016 he was transferred to Shirva.
