Shiv Sena MP wants chicken and eggs to be vegetarian, Classify beef as mushrooms, says Internet
Delhi: Sanjay Raut, the famous Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP made quite an unusual demand on Monday. The minister urged the Rajya Sabha (Upper House) to consider chicken and eggs to be classified as vegetarian.
Yes, that is correct. Chicken and eggs to be considered as vegetarian dishes, incase you thought read it wrong the first time.
Raut left everyone in the house surprised when he urged the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) to take note and make a decision regarding the same.
To give a reason for his demand, he said, “Once I had gone to a small village in Nandurbar region. The adivasi people came and served us food. When I asked them, what was it, they said, it was ayurvedic chicken. They also said that they take care of it in such a way that after eating you will get rid of all illness.”
This was not the end, he added that researchers from Chaudhary Charan Singh University were also working on Ayurvedic eggs.
For the most bizarre part, the lawmaker said that the chicken can be considered as ayurvedic food and is fit for the consumption of a vegetarian person because the chicken laying the ayurvedic eggs was only being fed ayurvedic food. Hence, it can be considered vegetarian.
For the same research, Raut asked for a budget of Rs 10,000 crore.
