Shobha Karandlaje inaugurates Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra at Udupi

Udupi: Taking a step further towards the skill development mission in the country a new Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) was inaugurated at Laxmindra Nagar near Manipal here on Tuesday, February 13.

Shobha Karandlaje member of Parliament Udupi – Chikkamagaluru inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) by lighting the lamp.

In her inaugural message she said that at the PMKKs, youth aged between 18 and 35 will be provided skills to make their services relevant to industries in the region.

The PMKK in Udupi offers three-month skill training courses in Domestic IT Helpdesk Attendant, Beauty and Wellness, Apparels, Computing and Peripherals, Networking and Storage Hardware, BFSI Banking, Finance, Insurance, Retails etc.

A maximum of 30 students will be taken for each course. At the end of the training, candidates will get a certificate from the National Skill Development Corporation and the firm will help them in getting jobs, she said.

MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, ZP president Dinakar Babu, vice president Sheela K Shetty, Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Uday Kumar Shetty and others were present.
