Shobha Should Resign for Sending False Information to HM in killing of 23 Hindus – SDPI

Mangaluru: “From the past two months many untoward incidents have taken place in the district. But from the past one week, the situation in the district is normal. The MP of Udupi/Chikkamagaluru, Shobha Kadandlaje has targetted Muslims and submitted a memorandum to the Home Minister of India, Rajnath Singh mentioning that the PFI is responsible for all the 23 murders of Hindus in the state. Shobha has submitted wrong information to the Home minister of India, she should apologise or resign”, said the District Secretary of SDPI Iqbal Bellare in a press meet held at the SDPI office Nellikai Road here on July 19.

Addressing the mediapersons Iqbal Bellare said, “In the forthcoming elections the BJP does not have any agenda to take to the people, so Shobha Karandlaje, Nalin Kumar Kateel, Sunil Kumar and B S Yeddyurappa are trying to create communal unrest by delivering inciting speeches during section 144. In the memorandum, Shobha has mentioned the names of 23 Hindus who were murdered during the four-year rule of the Congress. Shobha has also mentioned the name of Ashok Poojary who is still alive. Out of the 23 cases, 19 of the cases are where the victims have either died by committing suicide, gang war or accidents but Shobha is blaming the Muslim organizations and the Congress government .”

Iqbal further said, “Being an MP Shobha has already declared a person who is alive as dead. Shobha should apologize with the people of Dakshina Kannada for lying and also resign from her post. Instead of solving the problems of farmers Shobha is busy in creating communal unrest through her speeches. The BJP has lost its morality and in the coming days, the people of the state will give a befitting reply. Cheap politics of BJP will be put to an end by the people of this state.”

Iqbal also said, “Through lies and by creating communal unrest the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh. Now keeping the forthcoming elections in mind the BJP is following the same tactics in Karnataka. Shobha has put false allegations on Congress, the Congress party should initiate action against Shobha Karandlaje”.

SDPI State Committee member Jalil Krishnapura said, “Shobha Karandlaje has sent 23 names of Hindus who were killed. But out of 23 persons killed, 10 belonged to the BJP and HJV and they were killed by Bajrang Dal and BJP members. At present the situation in DK is normal but Shobha is trying to create Communal unrest. The Home Minister and the State police should file a Suo Moto case against Shobha. SDPI will also file a defamation case against Shobha Karandlaje.”

SDPI State Secretary Akram Hassan and Ashraf Manchi were also present.
