Shraddha overwhelmed with 15 mn Facebook followers

Mumbai, Feb 9 (IANS) Actress Shraddha Kapoor is happy that her fan base on social media platform Facebook has crossed 15 million. She is happy to receive the “unconditional love” her fans overwhelm her with.

“It is extremely overwhelming to receive such unconditional love and warmth from all these beautiful people. I truly love them more than words can explain,” Shraddha said in a statement.

The “Aashiqui 2” actress makes sure she takes out some time from her busy schedule every now and then to interact with her fans on the online platform because she enjoys it thoroughly. She even took out time to meet one of her biggest fans, Samina, in New York when she visited the place for the shoot of “Half Girlfriend”.

Shraddha is currently shooting for one of her upcoming next films, a biopic on Dawood Ibrahim’s late sister Haseena Parkar, after which she will get into the dubbing of “Half Girlfriend”.

Sayani plays pregnant woman in ‘Jolly LLB 2’

Not much has been said about Sayani Gupta’s role in “Jolly LLB 2”, but one hears she essays the role of a pregnant woman in the film. Without giving out much about her character in the entertainer, the actress says it was thrilling to be a part of the movie.

In Subhash Kapoor-directed “Jolly LLB 2”, Sayani, who made her acting debut in “Margarita, with a Straw”, plays a pregnant woman who is married to a character played by Manav Kaul.

Talking about it, she said in a statement: “I am honestly thrilled to be part of this fun franchise. I loved the script of the film and fell in love with my character Hina.

“It’s a part that I am proud to have etched and portrayed. It was such a joy collaborating with Subhash Kapoor as a director who is a great writer and director. He is really like a father figure and conducts himself with so much compassion and warmth on set. It rare to find such directors. Also working with old friend Manav Kaul was special.

“And Akshay Kumar, was the sweetest. He is such a responsive and helpful co-actor and a complete team player. I am really glad that I did this film and tell this story. Cause it will stay in people’s minds for a long time, I think.”

The movie also features Huma Qureshi.

Diljit Dosanjh’s style diary

Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh styles himself.

A source close to Diljit said: “His super cool casual look has made the turban look stylish and aspiring. The most interesting thing is that he styles himself.”

After his perforance in “Udta Punjab” was lauded, Diljit has been in news for the right reasons. He is seen as a judge on “Rising Star” and will soon be seen in new Bollywood movie “Phillauri” opposite Anushka Sharma.

“Even on the show, unlike his other two colleagues (Shankar Mahadevan and Monali Thakur), he has not hired a personal stylist and has been styling himself on his own,” the source added.

Jonita Gandhi’s V-Day proposal

Here’s a proposal from Jonita Gandhi, singer of “The Breakup Song” — give your own special twist to the hit party track and get featured in a special video for her YouTube channel.

In an age of quick romances, and when dating is available on a right swap, “The Breakup Song” almost became a youth anthem of sorts with quirky lyrics that summed up dealing with breakups in much light-hearted manner.

Jonita has now thrown up a chance for her fans to feature in a special video. They will have to send in their version — either original or with a unique twist of their own to the song — but they have to stick to the original tune and tempo.

A handful of selected best entries recorded in their own voice will then be featured on her channel in a mashup video.

Jonita said: “I saw a lot of great dubsmash videos when the song first came out, so I’m really looking forward to hearing the submissions for this contest. This is the first time I’m interacting with my fans this way and I’m excited to see and hear their talent.”
