UAE: Shree Varamahalakshmi Puja Samiti Dubai, traditionally celebrated its 9th annual Shree Varamahalakshmi Puja on August 28, at the Indian Academy School, Al Ghusais, Dubai with devotional bhajans and songs following true tradition and culture.
The programme began with an invocation followed by lighting the traditional lamp by the members of the Samiti. The devotional bhajans sung by Shree Rajarajeshwari Bhajana Mandali and Devotional songs sung by sisters Sangeetha Rajesh and Madhura Vishwanath along with instrumentalists Rajesh Adiga on tabla, Raghavendra Poojary on harmonium, Hari Narayan in flute and Rajesh Kutthar on taala added special attraction to the pooja. Singers and musicians were felicitated with momentoes for their service.
Udaya Kumar Kateel and Smitha Udaya Kumar, one among the most active members of the Puja committee represented the team for the puja which was spiritually performed by Purohith Vasudeva Bhat and Purohith Laxhmeesha Bhat with the support of Purohith Raghu Bhat.
Large number of devotees gathered from all parts of UAE witnessed and felt the spirit of the pooja with beautifully and innovatively set puja mandap decorated by Rajesh Kutthar and team.
Puja was further followed by Lakshmi Ashtothara, Sumangali aaraadhane and Braahmana aaraadhane.Kannika Araadhane was held for three female children and sumangalee items were distributed to all the sumangalis who attended the Pooja. Under the leadership of Suvarna Sathish Poojary and the core committee members Uday Kumar Kateel, Jayashree Sudhakar, Sudhakar Poojari,Balakrishna Salian, Sathish Ullal, Jagannath Bellare, Ramanand Belapu, Rajesh Kutthar, Prakash Pakkala, Shyamala Krishna,Aruna Jagadish the whole event proved to be very well-planned and in a systematic manner with the active participation of eighty four Sumangalis who are the members of VML team.
Mean time Purohith Vasudeva Bhat and Purohith Laxhmeesha Bhat who came from India to perform Puja was felicitated by the members of the core committee. Puja concluded with Mahamangalaarathi, and distribution of Mahaprasadam. VML core committee members extended their sincere gratitude to all the devotees, supporters and media for the grand success of the Puja.
