Shri Rajarajeshwari Bhajana Vrinda Celebrates 20th Anniversary as a Grand Event in Dubai

Dubai: Shri Rajarajeshwari Bhajana Vrinda, a prominent cultural organization in Dubai, recently marked its 20th anniversary with a vibrant celebration titled “Vimshathi Bhajanatya Sambhrama 2025” at Al Nasr Leisureland, Oud Metha. The event drew a large audience from across the Emirates, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Indian community in the UAE.

The highlight of the evening was a classical music concert featuring the renowned young singer Ms. Sooryagayathri and her talented team. The concert captivated attendees with a diverse array of Bhajans, culminating in a heartfelt performance of her inaugural Tulu song dedicated to Kateel Amma, which has since gained popularity on social media platforms. In recognition of her contributions, Ms. Sooryagayathri and her team were honoured by the Shri Rajarajeshwari Bhajana Vrinda. Meantime Kishore from Vajira Realities, Praveen Shetty, Dinesh Shetty Kottinja, Sathish Mayya, Sathish Shetty, and Harish Sherigar were present on the dais.

The festivities also included the “Kunitha Vimshathi” Nrithyabhajan competition, which saw the participation of eight teams that created a traditional and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Participants of all ages showcased their talents, and the Shree Bhavaani team emerged as the winners, while the Shree Mahalakshmi team was declared the runners-up.

Adding to the celebratory ambiance, a mythological dance performance directed by Vidhushi Roopa Kiran and her team featured a captivating blend of Yakshagana, Tiger dance, and Rathothsava, portraying various Goddesses from Karnataka. This segment enriched the cultural tapestry of the event, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

The judging panel for the Nrithyabhajan competition included esteemed personalities Dr. Arun Ullal, Vidhushi Rohini Ananth, and Mrs. Gopika Mayya, who contributed their expertise to evaluate the performances.

Rajesh Kutthar, founder and convener of Shri Rajarajeshwari Bhajana Vrinda, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors, supporters, well-wishers, and members for their unwavering dedication and effort in successfully organizing this historic event in the UAE. The celebration not only commemorated two decades of cultural enrichment but also fostered a sense of community and unity among attendees.
