Siddaramaiah Govt is Great to Give ‘Anna Bhagya’ to People – Dhananjay
Mangaluru: The State President of the Publicity Committee D K Shivakumar has appointed me as the District president of the Publicity committee. In the district, we have 8 constituencies and 16 blocks. For every constituency, we have formed an election publicity committee and appointed presidents. For the 16 blocks, we have appointed block presidents. All the committees will do their best for the coming elections”, said the District President of Publicity Committee Dhananjay Addangaya in a press meet held at the DCC office here on March 17.
Addressing the mediapersons Dhananjay said, “On March 20, AICC President Rahul Gandhi is visiting the District to take part in the Janaashirawada Yatra. After taking charge as the President of AICC Rahul Gandhi is for the first time visiting Mangaluru. The publicity committee will strive hard to showcase all the development work done by the State government under the leadership of CM Siddaramaiah.”
Dhananjay further said, “The publicity committee will highlight all the schemes implemented by the state government. In the country, Karnataka is the second state to start Anna Bhagya. The state government has given subsidy for the farmers to rear cows to increase the production of milk. When the KMF officials approached the CM and said that milk is being wasted due to increase in production, the CM implemented Ksheera Bhagya to distribute Milk to students in schools. The Siddaramaiah government has distributed Laptops to Dalit Students so that they can pursue their education. Whatever Bhagyas have been implemented by the CM, they are unique and the people of Karnataka have benefitted.”
When asked about people believing in social media where murders, crime and related issues are being highlighted, and the steps taken by the party to bring awareness among the people, Dhananjay said, “We have a social media wing which is very active. We will surely reach out to the people with our development work. Our mantra is to forgive and we are doing it. People of DK are intellectuals and they will decide what is good and bad. We will convince the voters to give us one more chance for further development.”
Former mayor Sashidhar Hegde, Ibrahim Kodijal, Suresh Ballal, Eshwar Ullal, Sadashiv Shetty, Farooq and Nithyanand Shetty were also present.
