Siddaramaiah Govt supporting ‘Jihadi Activities’ in State – Mattar Rathnakar Hegde

Udupi: “Chief minister Siddaramaiah is directly supporting ‘jihadi activities’ in Karnataka. By promoting Jihadi violence and communal elements. The Congress government is directly responsible for the murder of 20 Hindu Activists in the state”, alleged Mattar Rathnakar Hegde district president of the BJP.

He was speaking at a protest organized by the Udupi district BJP on December 15 in front of the War Memorial in Ajjarkad demanding a probe by NIA in the murder of Paresh Mesta in Honnavar.

Mattar Rathnakar Hegde further said, “The recent murder of Paresh Mesta in Kumta has shown that the State government has no control over the law and order machinery. The pro-Hindu organizations had warned the authorities of communal clashes in Honnavar, but no action was taken by the government. The murder had taken place on December 6 and it was covered up by the police as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was on a two-day tour to the district. The incident was revealed only on December 8”.

Mattar Rathnakar Hegde also said, “In the last four years, after the Congress government came to power, at least 20 workers of the RSS, BJP and Hindu organizations have been killed, but the State government has not taken any action to arrest the culprits. In many incidents, it is proved that the Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Karnataka Forum For Dignity (KFD) were involved. After Siddaramaiah became the Chief Minister, many of the cases against the KFD and PFI were withdrawn. The same people who came out from jail are involved in the attack on Hindu activists. The State government should ban the Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD) as they are behind the killings of Hindu activists in the State”.

Udupi ZP president Dinakar Babu, vice president Sheela K Shetty, former MLA’s Raghupathi Bhat, Lalaji R Mendon, BJP leaders Yashpal Suvarna, Suresh Shetty Gurme, Suprasad Shetty, Shyamala Kundar, Akshith Shetty Herga, Suresh Nayak, Katapadi Shanker Poojary, Shilpa Suvarna, Reshma Uday Shetty, Nalini Pradeep Rao, Shreesha Nayak, Sandhya Ramesh, Geetha Ravi Shet and others were present.
