Siddaramaiah is a Murderer not Modi – MP Nalin
Mangaluru: Narendra Modi is not a murderer but Siddaramaiah is a murderer said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel in a protest, held by the BJP Raitha Morcha against the State government for not fulfilling the promises made in favour of the farmers, in front of the DC office here on September 14.
The district president of Raitha Morcha Rajeev Bhandary addressing the protesters said that the state government has adopted the Anti-farmer policy by not providing a proper supporting price for the milk producers. With the water crisis in the state, the state government has sent notices to the farmers through the DC of respective districts not to permit the digging of borewells. If the government will not take measures to solve the water problems in the state, then there is no option for the farmers except to commit suicide. He also said that the areca nut and coconut price has been fallen and farmers do not get a reasonable support price. The minister has announced the supporting price only for the areca nut and coconut growers of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. Why is the government doing partiality with the farmers? We demand a proper support price for the farmers and milk producers. From past 8 months nearly Rs 300 crore of financial aid for the farmers is pending. While concluding Rajeev demanded the government to provide proper support price for their products.

Addressing the protesters MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “From the past three years the Congress government led by CM Siddaramaiah is in power. During the elections, Congress assured many Bhagyas to the people of the state. But in the last three years of their rule, a number of farmers have committed suicide. CM Siddaramaiah did not shed any tears when the farmers committed suicide but he was in tears when Kabir who was involved in cattle trafficking was killed while escaping from the police. CM Siddaramaiah had called Modi a ‘murderer’ but in three years of Siddaramaiah’s tenure, a number of farmers and police officers have committed suicide. Nalin further said, “CM Siddaramaiah had called Modi a ‘murderer’ but in three years of Siddaramaiah’s tenure, a number of farmers and police officers have committed suicide. Narendra Modi is not a murderer but Siddaramaiah is a murderer. He brought Shaadi bhagya but it did not work instead it become “Hagga Bhagya”. Even though the state is facing drought the CM did not take any measures to stop supplying water to Tamil Nadu. If the CM will not talk on Kaveri water issue, the same issue will spread in DK too. While Shobha Karandlaje was the minister for power, there was 24X7 power supply in the state but now the power goes off every now and then which has encouraged thieves to operate freely”.
He also said that in the last three years, in the history of Dakshina Kannada for the first time highest number of theft cases are reported since the state government has given “Kallara Bhagya” to the district.
Nalin also alleged that all the congress leaders are involved in a sand mafia, they supply sand to Bengaluru imposing a ban in DK. Now if you want to build a house you need to pay double price for the sand. The forest minister is sleeping the whole day and he does not bother to solve the problems of the elephants attacking villages. The CM and the district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai both are in deep slumber and competing with each other. Nalin warned the congress government led by Siddaramaiah not to play with the lives of farmers by supplying the much-needed water for the farmers in the state to Tamil Nadu.
The state Raitha Morcha President Shantha Veerappa Gowda and district BJP prpesident Sanjeev Matandoor also spoke on the occasion.
