Siddaramaiah most corrupt CM of Karnataka – Mattar Rathankar Hegde

Udupi: Siddaramaiah led congress government is the most corrupt government in Karnataka said Mattar Rathankar Hegde district president of Bharatiya Janata Party Udupi.

He was speaking at a protest held at the Clock Tower on February 20 against the state government’s failure in tackling the problems of the state and district. The state government has no control over its officials. The behaviour of the chief minister has made his Cabinet colleagues and officials engage in corruption.

The Congress government in the state has failed in all aspects and development activities have come to a standstill. The law and order situation in the State has collapsed after the Congress party has come to power. The income tax department has seized undisclosed income to the tune of Rs 162.06 crore, cash worth Rs 41 lakh and 12.8 kgs of gold and jewellery, as well as bogus accounts and unexplained deposits in benami names from the raids carried out on the residences of Minister Ramesh Jarakiholi and Congress chief Laxmi Hebbalkar. The chief minister has failed to take action against Jarakiholi and Laxmi Hebbalkar. The charges against the Social Welfare Minister H Anjaneya and his wife of receiving bribery is also audaciously accepted by the Congress government. No action has been taken, he added.

The voters’ expectation of corruption-free governance proved an illusion. The only intention of the state government is to appease the Congress high command. The state has become a hotbed of criminal activities. The BJP workers are being killed indiscriminately. The state is following the footsteps of Kerala. The culprits in most of the cases are roaming free. There is no law and order in the state.

Lambasting at the government for going ahead with the steel flyover project in Bengaluru, Hegde charged that the chief minister and his ministerial brigade are all bribed with more than Rs 65 crore. The project is taking shape despite the stay order from the National Green Tribunal. There is no accountability, he alleged.

Former minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that pre-poll promises made by the Congress have not been fulfilled. The government has failed to take up new programmes for the welfare of the people. Even the welfare programmes initiated by the previous BJP government have been stopped by the Congress. The Congress government is engaged in politics rather than development works. The people of Karnataka have lost faith in the government.

More than 1500 farmers have committed suicide failing to pay the loans borrowed by them from nationalised banks. Many times we have demanded the government to waive off the loans and interest on the loans borrowed by the farmers from nationalized and cooperative banks, but the government is not ready to do that. Karnataka is going the Kerala way as far as law and order. Many Hindu activists, BJP activists were killed in last 4 years of Congress government tenure. The law and order has collapsed in the state, he added.

Bharathi Shetty president State Mahila Morcha, Sunil Kumar chief whip for opposition in the legislative assembly, Raghupathi Bhat former MLA Udupi and Uday Kumar Shetty state BJP member also spoke on the occasion.

BJP leader Sheela K Shetty, Lalaji R Mendon, Gitanjali Suvarna, Shilpa Suvarna, Kuthyar Naveen Shetty, Yashpal Suvarna, Nalini Pradeep Rao, Akshith Shetty Herga, Ranjith Salian, Katapadi Shanker Poojary, Veena Shetty, Nayana Ganesh, Shyamala Kundar, Sukumar Shetty, Suprasad Shetty, Rajesh Kaveri, Reshma Uday Shetty, Nayana Ganesh and others were present.

Translation: Congress has looted the state long enough. Now it’s our turn, says BJP.

By the way, how come saffron crowd is thinning these days at BJP gatherings? Note ban effect?

For BJP former CM Yeddyurappa bail from jail for mining kickbacks and denotification is holy cow.
Then more than 50 deaths under Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh chouhan should ‘nar bali’ to appease the Gods for votes.

What a irony. They want everyone’s participation for ‘Swachh bharath’. But ‘Garbage is safely deposited in their closet.
