Siddaramaiah should resign immediately in MUDA Corruption case – Pramod Madhwaraj
Udupi: BJP leader Pramod Madhwaraj has demanded that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should resign immediately, alleging that his favouritism and corruption have been exposed in the MUDA scam.
He was addressing a protest meeting on Monday by the District BJP Unit at Kadiyali. Madhwaraj said that since the Governor has given permission for prosecution, Siddaramaiah should resign on moral grounds.
“When Siddaramaiah was the Deputy Chief Minister, his relative had purchased land in Mysore, which raises suspicion that it was bought with his own money. If the officials had not misused the 3 acres and 16 cents of land belonging to the Chief Minister’s family, why no action was taken against the officials who misused the land,” he questioned.
If we continue to fight, Siddaramaiah will have to resign and face legal action. Mallikarjun Kharge is waiting to send Siddaramaiah home, he said.
District BJP president Kishore Kumar addressing the gathering said “Siddaramaiah’s true colors are now exposed. Earlier, when B.S. Yeddyurappa was in a similar situation, Siddaramaiah had asked him to resign citing moral responsibility. Now, why isn’t he resigning?” he asked.
“Corruption is rampant in all fields, and it seems Siddaramaiah has become the Chief Minister only to save his family,” he added.
BJP leaders K Uday Kumar Shetty, Reshma Uday Shetty and others were present in the protest meet.
