During Christmas season we try to recollect the beautiful memories and experiences in our life, and cherish them, perhaps a nice Christmas celebration we had in the yesteryears. We then try to relate those moments with the current period and try to spread the spirit of love, joy and peace. That’s the beauty of Christmas season. During St. Joseph’s Christmas Festival, we met a few of our readers and asked them about the significance of Christmas and how they actually celebrate this festive season. This is what they wish to share with our readers:

Christmas Season gives an opportunity for people to meet and greet by shaking hands. It’s a time of sharing love and warmth with loved ones. We welcome Jesus in our family and in our midst. This can be done by visiting the church ?attending Eucharistic Celebration on the eve of Christmas. Just wearing new clothes isn’t sufficient, it needs to do some cleansing within too (Inner healing and reconciliation). We long for Christmas because it’s a time for families to get together, share love and meet people.
James & Olivia
Christmas is a family feast. Jesus was born in a manger. He started with a very humble beginning. Christmas teaches us about Simplicity, Patience and Peace.
Edwin & Mercy
Christmas is a commemoration of birth of Jesus, a celebration in which we all indulge every year. People celebrate this memorable day in various ways, depending upon their own concept of the significance of the day. The joy of Christmas is not the lighting of a Christmas tree or the arrival of a pile of gifts but in humbling ourselves because God humbled Himself and became a human. Although Christmas is time of joy and celebration, the true spirit doubles in sharing this grace, love and joy with the least fortunate.
Frank & Annette
Christmas season brings happiness and joy to all of us. We are celebrating the birthday of Jesus and so it?s a family celebration. We attend the Eucharistic Celebration (usually midnight mass), greet our friends and have meals with our family and friends.
Arthur & Freeda
Christmas time is a happy moment for every person because we are celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus. We thank the Lord for his countless blessings during this special moment, and then we have family get together.
Jaison & Sandra
Christmas time is an opportunity to share joy and happiness with your family and friends. We have family get togethers and meet our friends.
Sebastian & Cyrilla
Christmas is a season of loving and caring, giving and sharing. We can decorate our homes with baubles and tinsel and make sure our table spread is complete with our favorite foods. But we should not forget what the season is all about. It’s about a baby in a manger. It’s a story, almost as old as time but a very powerful story that gives us the true meaning of Christmas. He was a baby all wrapped in swaddling clothes and put to sleep on a bed of hay by loving parents. His birth has brought people to their knees around the world. Christmas, like every other special occasion, is what we make it. Give it meaning to those around you and you’ll live forever.
George & Monica
We are celebrating the Birth of Jesus and so it is a time to rejoice and celebrate. The most important thing is to attend mass and thank the Lord for His countless blessings. We then invite our friends to our place and share the joy of this season.
