‘Singam’ Annamalai Visits Sabarimala

Udupi: The popular IPS officer Annamalai Kuppuswamy, who recently resigned from the police department, visited the hill shrine in Sabarimala and paid respects to Swami Ayyappa.

After submitting his resignation to the police department on Sunday, K Annamalai arrived in Sabarimala and did a darshan of Manikanta on Sankrathi day. Forgoing the khaki uniform and wearing a black lungi, he climbed the 18 holy steps and paid his respects to Ayyappa Swami.

Annamalai is not only familiar in Karnataka, but he is a well-known face in Kerala too. The devotees who arrived in Sabaraimala asked for selfies with him. Annamalai happily took selfies and hugged well-wishers. The local Kerala SP also visited and greeted Annamalai on the occasion.

Annamalai K, who tendered his resignation from the Indian Police Service, is writing a book that he plans to get published. He also plans to focus on unemployed youth and reskill them in order to make them relevant to the corporate world.
