SIO Udupi demands proper investigation in Kavya’s Death
Udupi:The Students Islamic Organisation Udupi district staged a protest at the Clock Tower on Saturday, July 29, demanding a thorough investigation into the suspicious death of Alva’s institution student Kavya.
Addressing the gathering social activist Yaseen Kodibengre said that it is sad that a brilliant and talented student Kavya has died in a suspicious manner by committing suicide in Alvas Institution Moodbidri. It is not proved whether it is a murder or Suicide, only a proper investigation can provide a right answer in this case. We are not against any institution, but many deaths were reported in Alvas that have not come to light. According to Kavya’s Parents when she had spoken to them over the phone the previous night she was lively. After the incident they had reached the hostel within 45 minutes. When they reached the Campus, Kavya’s body was already shifted the mortuary and they were not even allowed to see her body. All these incidents have made way for suspicion in this case. Only the police department can give justice to Kavya’s parents. Not only Kavya’s death, but the death of Sowjanya, Rathna Kotari, Akashatha Devadiga should also be investigated in a proper manner, he demanded.
